Apple iPhone 4 FaceTalk is no Skype killer app
by admin on Jun.12, 2010, under Skype Videos
Apple iPhone 4 launched FaceTime as one of the new features exclusively for the latest iPhone.
This feature allows video calling over WiFi with video in video facility and the ability to switch
between the two built in cameras the front camera allows face to face or use the reverse camera
on the back to create point of view shots.
Camera switching is done with one simple tap.
Skype who already offers video calling for the Nokia N900 over 3G, plus an iPhone app.
FaceTime would be great if video weren’t just over a Wi-Fi hotspot. Skype are interested in working
FaceTime to how it works and can be implemented and used. Skype set up in 2003 has been offering
the voice and video calling over the internet for years together with various video supported handsets.

Skype Type Music Video Web Cam Jam Mashup
by admin on Jun.05, 2010, under Skype Videos
This web jam cam music video was shot for Sour’s ‘Hibi no Neiro’ (Tone of everyday) from their first mini album ‘Water Flavor EP’. The cast were selected from the actual Sour fan base, from many countries around the world. Each person and scene was filmed purely via webcam.
This shows how crowdsourcing of fans can lead to creating a music video through social media combined with user generated content.
This video I came across via http://www.youtube.com/Creativeheads a competition for looking at creative work that are judged by Youtube users.
This is another Youtube web cam video jam I also found tell what you think.
